Our Story
New Beginnings Therapy was founded in September of 2018 by Dr. Carly LeBaron. Her family has been doing business in Cache Valley for over 100 years. Her great-grandfather, Al Larsen, founded Al's Sporting Goods in 1921 and her grandfather, Darwin Larsen, founded Al's Trophies & Frames in 1954. She is incredibly proud to be a 4th generation small business owner here in Logan.

New Beginnings Therapy was created with you in mind. Our practice is hand-crafted to make you feel comfortable, supported, and heard. We are constantly growing and changing, just like you. If there is ever anything we can do to make your experience better, don't hesitate to tell us!

Owner
I've been working with my amazing clients since 2008, starting in Utah County and now in Cache County. I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology at Utah State University (Go Aggies!) and my Master's and Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have worked in a community clinic, a women's center, and several group private practices before opening New Beginnings. I also published my first book in 2017, "Shattering the Porcelain: Overcoming Perfectionism and People-Pleasing and Becoming the Real You" and my second book, "Some Body to Love: 12 Weeks to a Better Body Image" (complete with Companion Journal) in 2021! I'm completely biased, but I have the best job in the world and it's an honor to meet and work with my clients.

I am married to my best friend and we have three incredible sons and a dog named Bandit. I love to write, cook, bake, read, go hiking and camping, landscape, and be outside. I'm a total foodie and yoga enthusiast! Right now, I'm trying to learn to play the piano and working hard every day to be my authentic self. Come grow with me!

Amanda Crosland, MSW, CSW (She/Her) ***Accepting New Clients***
I graduated from Utah State University in 2021 with my Bachelor's in Social Work and received my Master's degree in Social Work from Boise State University in 2022. I work largely with older adolescents and young adults. I have a background as a registered behavior technician, a high school social worker, and now practice clinically since receiving my graduate degree. I am married, and currently living in Smithfield. I look forward to all the chapters coming up in my life. I am passionate about guiding people to have more fulfilling and happy relationships in their lives. I work to help clients realize they are important and valued in their own lives and in the lives of others. I am a certified professional dog trainer and enjoy implementing animal assisted therapy in session.
As we grow into adulthood, oftentimes our childhood anchors need refining. I value pressuring my own development and the development of others. The paradigms I use in therapy empower people to create richer and happier lives with more authenticity. I encourage clients to sort through what they think is true about the world and who they are, which leads to knowing and accepting themselves as well as an ability to see and act wisely in their own lives.

I am here to meet you where you are. Whether you are struggling to cope with day-to-day stressors or are needing a space to heal from past traumas, I will be here to support you on your journey to healing. To me, healing happens through fostering meaningful connection and creating positive experiences for my clients in a safe and nurturing environment. My approach to therapy is rooted in collaboration, personal connection, warmth, and curiosity.

At the heart of my work is the belief that nothing is worth more than your sanity. This framework guides my approach in helping protect your well-being, manage stress, and find balance even through life’s hardest moments.
I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work, along with a Minor in Human Development and Family Studies, from Utah State University. Originally from Ogden, I now call Cache Valley home.
I have experience working with children, teens, and adults, and hold a special place in my heart for college students navigating big life transitions. I am passionate about helping clients process trauma, build confidence, strengthen relationships, and develop practical coping skills for anxiety and depression. I strive to create a collaborative and supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to move toward the life you want. I often incorporate mindfulness and relaxation techniques to support both mind and body in the healing process. There is nothing you cannot overcome.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy running, cooking, practicing yoga, watching USU sports, listening to music, and spending time with my family.
